David Kelly
Dave Kelly's passion for radio started early, fuelled by a childhood spent moving around with his Royal Air Force father. Travelling both abroad and within the UK exposed him to a diverse range of sounds, but it was the rebellious spirit of Radio Caroline in the late 60s that truly captured his imagination and ignited a lifelong love for broadcasting.

His first foray into the world of music came in 1971, fittingly, selling Hi-Fi equipment. This naturally progressed into evening work as a mobile DJ in various discos and nightclubs around Bath, where he had the thrill of introducing up-and-coming bands like Thin Lizzy and Chicken Shack to enthusiastic crowds.

A move to Kent in 1973 saw Dave establish a highly successful mobile disco business, even adding video services to cater for the wedding and party scene. However, a family bereavement prompted him to take a break from the music industry, and with work pressures mounting, music took a backseat for a while.

The spark reignited in 2009 with the discovery of internet radio. Dave was hooked once more, and in 2010 he launched his own online station, which, under new management, continues to broadcast to this day. Over the past 15 years, Dave has showcased his eclectic musical taste, presenting shows spanning soul, northern soul, classic rock, and general pop. The passion that started with Radio Caroline all those years ago is still burning bright, and Dave remains as enthusiastic about music and radio as ever.
