Radio Big Sky is set to launch this autumn, and promises to bring the fun back into radio.

This new station will target the area of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, the big sky counties from which the station gets it’s name.

Radio Big Sky will bring a more music and less chat approach to broadcasting, with an extensive playlist from the 70s, 80, 90s and a few familiar tracks from today.

It is hoped that Radio Big Sky will be the sound track to your working week, keeping you entertained whilst you go about your day, helping to get you home or to work with up to date traffic and travel news and, even tell you if you need an umbrella with regular weather bulletins.

But most of all, at Radio Big Sky they want you the listener to have as much enjoyment and fun from the station as their experienced team of presenters will do bringing it to you.  And, at Radio Big Sky it’s all about the music!

“At Radio Big Sky, we know from our research that whilst listeners do want to hear about their local communities, they don’t want to hear long interviews.” Said David Miller, one of the five founders behind Radio Big Sky, “What they do want is great music interspersed with short, snappy bitesize chunks of information about the areas in which they live.

“Above all, our listeners want more music and a lot less chat and that’s what we at Radio Big Sky promise to bring!”

Everybody at Radio Big Sky has a passion for delivering great radio. All of the people involved are volunteers, but they all have a wealth of experience in the industry.  Every single one of the presenting team has had to go through the Big Sky audition process to be able to broadcast on air. And, at Radio Big Sky they have only chosen the best to keep you entertained and bring you great music!

Music based stations are not a new thing, but where Radio Big Sky is different is the huge number of tracks in their play list.  The station will not be playing the same 500 tracks on rotation as some other music stations do, instead listeners will hear the tunes they are familiar with, songs to sing along to and, the tracks that bring back memories.

Radio Big Sky will have a fresh, exciting sound that will keep you entertained all day long!

Radio Big Sky is available to listen via the station’s own, free downloadable app, on smart speakers or via the website at https://www.radiobigsky.com

More Music, More Fun, keep it tuned to Radio Big Sky!
