Producer Jack Douglas, who worked with artists including John Lennon, Aerosmith and Patti Smith, has died aged 80.
His family announced that Douglas died peacefully on Monday night (11 May), though no cause of death was given.
Tributes have poured in from musicians he worked with. Patti Smith thanked him for his work on Radio Ethiopia, while Yoko Ono wrote: “Rest in Peace, Jack Douglas.”
Aerosmith described Douglas as a “legendary producer” whose talent and passion helped shape the band’s sound and left a lasting mark on the music industry.
